Nostalgia

The Whitman sampler was introduced in 1912 when the company president decided that the needlework sampler hanging in his home would make beautiful packaging. It was the the first box of chocolates to include a now-famous index showing the filling in each candy.

During World War I and II boxes of the candy were sent to our troops. Workers would include hand-written notes of encouragement.

Whitman's Candies is now part of Russell-Stover.

Photowalking

This is something I like to do but didn't realize that there was actually a word for it.
photowalking: the act of walking with a camera for the main purpose of taking pictures of things you may find interesting

It is great way to get some exercise and maybe capture a photo. The worst feeling is a walk without the camera and missing a photo op.

This morning was windy and the only wildlife on the pond were these turtles sunbathing on the bank.
