Deer in the Swamp

Four Holes Swamp at Beidler Forest

Prothonotary Warblers

The Francis Beidler Forest is one of the natural gems of South Carolina. A 1.75 mile boardwalk winds through the largest remaining stand of old-growth cypress-tupelo swamp forest of its kind in the world. This habitat is home to some of the highest densities of breeding Prothonotary Warblers in South Carolina.
