Wisteria and Dogwood in Bloom

On a recent trip to Columbia the wisteria and dogwood were in full bloom along the road. Too bad it lasts such a short time.

One-Room Schoolhouse

Pisgah Covered Bridge

One of North Carolina's two remaining covered bridges located in Randolph County near Asheboro, NC. Originally built in 1911 at a cost of $40. The bridge was washed away by a flood on August 9. 2003, but was rebuilt the next year. The restoration was able to salvage about 90 percent of the materials from the original structure.
