Red Chili Peppers
In Albuquerque they use lots of red chili peppers in cooking, but also for decorations.
They are strung together in a ristra ( the Spanish word for "string" ) or made into a wreath.

Papel Picado
Papel picado ("perforated paper") is the Mexican art of paper cutting into elaborate designs. They are commonly displayed for Easter, Christmas and the Day of the Dead. These photos were taken in Albuquerque's historic Old Town section.
