Pansy Test

The blotch of color on this pansy reminds me of the Rorschach inkblot test. What do you see in this blotch?

Maybe turning it around you will see something else.

Walking Back in Time

When you take a walk on the nature trail in Granby Park in Columbia, South Carolina, you can see remnants of a bygone era. Part of a stone wall still remains from one the canals that was built in the 1820s to provide safe travel around the rapids on the Congaree river. During the early years of operation, it transported an average of thirty thousand bales of cotton each year to Charleston. The railroad boom of the 1850s spelled the demise of canal travel.

Nature Walks

I am reminded of recent articles and books about the importance of getting children outdoors. The memories of time spent in nature will last a lifetime.

Dancing Rainbows
